A Message from the President and Executive Director of I.A.S.G.

We wish to thank everyone who helped make the "Egypt Exhibit on Capitol Hill" a great success. It was put together with very short notice by Nabil Makar in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy and was put into effect by dedicated members of I.A.S.G. like George Elliott III, Bing Huang, Howard Fleming and other artists working behind the scenes. We feel the group can accomplish anything if it can keep sustain this quality of enthusiasm and dedication. Let's make the "IASG in Miami" show equally smashing by recruiting as many exhibitors as we can! 2006 if off to a great start!

Egyptian Ambassador, Congressman, Philippine Consul General

It was quite a show materializing on the foyer of the Rayburn Building right next to the Capitol. 200 attendees milled around meeting artists, the ambassador from Egypt, some Congressmen, the Philippine Consul General and the general art lovers.

It was quite a challenge to move in about 100 paintings and easels through the tightly guarded building. Luckily we had a great staff helping us.

The show, which went from 12:00 to 2:00 pm was scheduled to move to the Egyptian Embassy for another re-show at 6:00 pm.
Nabil Makar is credited with the enormous effort. Thanks Nabil!
